So this is all that remains of PCH between San Clemente and Oceanside. Usually this view gets you an appointment with the business end of an M16, but Saturday there was an Ironman going through Trails so you had to go through the base to get out. Kind of crazy to see how overgrown it is and to think that this is what all of California used to look like. My mom drove down this road back around '62 on her first move out to California. Probably lots of great memories for lots of people on this stretch of highway.
