Transitions

So we finally picked up the new popup camper on Tuesday night. (Real stoked for this one, full breakdown soon to come.)

So after I got the whole tour of the new setup, with complete instructions on setup/popup and takedown, the dude at Adventure RV hands me this little box of parts for any situation that we may find ourselves in. The logo from one package in particular caught my eye. The logo was familiar. Valterra.

Those in the know may recognize this as the vastly mass merchandised skateboard brand from the 80's. For most people that started skating in the 80's, there is probably a 90% chance that your first board was made either by Valterra or Nash. Most of the kids that started skating after seeing Back to the Future (don't pretend, I know there are a ton of you out there) probably bought the Valterra splatter board from the movie (pictured above) at their nearest K Mart, Target, Ames or Woolworth. This one was right up there with the Nash Executioner and Kamikaze.

Somewhere along the line the transition was made to RV parts. How that happened, who the hell knows. But at least they kept their logo and their slogan "Making Recreation Fun". Completely random. Scratch that. Completely FUCKING random.
