So a couple of weekends ago we took a surf trip down to Baja. While the surf was'nt that hot, it was fun just to shut the engines down and chill for a couple of days with friends. The above shot is what happens to my car's GPS when you head into Mexico. Was it telling us something?
We headed out Thursday night after a full day of meetings, so we were ready to hit the road. In case you have'nt heard, a lot of people have been showing up dead in Mexico, as well as being kidnapped in broad daylight, so needless to say we were a little gripped heading down after dark.
Friday we surfed twice and did the same Saturday. Friday we headed down to K-58 to check the surf and realized just how sketched we all were. We saw a crazy head on collision right outside the gate of the condo and got the hell back into Gaviotas for the rest of the stay. Sunday we tried to surf Raul's but the waves had other plans, and as in other plans I mean that there were'nt any.
Overall it was (thankfully) and uneventful and fun trip. It was crazy traveling with a Canadian, and Austrian and an American in one car. Pretty much sounded like the setup to a joke the whole time. Upon our return, Andrew sent me this story. Can't say when I'll be going back....
