Got to chill to Daren and Daren Jr. this past weekend. Met up at the remodeled Flight Club to chill with Chow. See "Chillmatic" post pic. Daren started with a hilarious story about their recent trip to Brooklyn where they were driving around and Ronin noticed all the Orthodox temples; not a common sight in Arizona. He thought they looked like castles. At a stoplight he saw a Rabbi and proclaimed, "Look, a Wizard!" Hilarious. Gotta love kids. Daren I left FCNY safely, but Ronin scored a dope pair of Baby Jordans.
We were starving (what's new?) and craving Spanish food so we hit up El Castillo de Jagua on Rivington, right up the street from ALIFE. So f'n good. A couple Presidentes, Yellow Rice, Red Beans, Fried Pork, Tostones & salad on the same plate. If I ever had to only eat one meal for the rest of my life, this pretty much wins, 2nd going to the Cuban/ Filipino version with eggs.
