Canyon of Heroes.

Headed down to the Ticker Tape Parade to celebrate with my fellow Yankee fans. I had no idea what I was getting myself into.

The definition of MOBB DEEP.

Popped out of the train to a sidewalk that was 20-30 people deep on the sidewalk! Of course I had no signal on my iPhone, so meeting up with everybody was not going to happen. Miraculously, I did find Jillian who perched along the fence at the corner of Broadway and Chambers. Great spot to watch the floats turn the corner towards City Hall.

Jay-Z decided to come chill for the day. Is there a ZOOM lens camera app? It was sick to see all the players during the parade, cheer on our team, and heckle all the retards who decided to show up wearing the colors of our rival teams. It wasn't uncommon to hear an "asshole" chant every few and see a red hat flying. People were perched on every available platform from scaffolding, walk/ don't walk signs, and on barricades. Just a sea of blue and pinstripes.

The crowds were unruly, of course, and people were passing out, freaking out from all the pushing & basically losing it- from feeling trapped on our one block that only allowed very infrequent exit access because of the passing floats. So as more and more people would come out of the subway , the more the pressure would build. There were a couple of fellow claustraphobics that risked arrest by jumping over the fence were were perched on because they couldn't deal with the crowds. Why come to the parade, holmes? Sorry to all those people trying to go to work or thinking this was a great day to get their downtown tourist on. Stoops! It was retarded to hear that people went downtown as early as 3am to get prime spots along the route for the 11am parade and there were almost 2 million fans there for the madness. Craze!

It was super fun to cheer, yell and celebrate our heroes, but after the last float, we were eager to peace out and get our grub on.

Passed by the small banks on our way to the train to Brooklyn. R.I.P. So sad to hear Flushing Park and the Big Banks falling to a similar fate. Thanks for all the new skateparks, but please let us keep our natural skateparks.

People hate on Grimaldi's for being a tourist attraction, but you can't really beat the simplicity and consistency of their Margherita slice. Killer every time.

Just check out the perfection of that upskirt. Can't front on that.

Great way to end the day. Thanks NY & Yanks & Fans for a memorable day. Let's hope we win another one soon. Only 96 days until pitchers and catchers. Go Yanks!
