It's always been a a dream for early model WRX owners like myself to own wide wheels (18x9 & above) with the proper offset to run deep rim lips, but it's just not available for the stock 5x100 bolt pattern. However, 02-03 WRX owners in Japan have been swapping the later model STi 5x114 hubs onto their cars in order to run wider wheels. It's a miracle for sure, but not impossible. Just takes quite a bit of elbow grease to make your wheel dreams come true.
